Hi, I'm Demi!

I'm a junior Design student at UT Austin who is passionate about discovering ways immersive tech like AR/VR can create whimsical, engaging user experiences that improve lives. I believe good interaction design demands multidisciplinary involvement, from understanding the technology like a developer to empathizing with a user's experiences through their eyes.

Last summer, I interned at Ghost Productions Medical Animation and VR Surgery, where I researched methods of incorporating interactive 3D elements into a website to present Ghost's 3D work in an accessible, user-friendly format.

When I'm not designing, you can catch me daydreaming, doodling, or dancing on ice! I grew up with my nose buried in fictional novels and yearn to bring the fantastical worlds I read and dream about to life through my artwork. I've illustrated for Simon & Schuster, Hodder & Stoughton, and several NYT Bestselling fantasy/contemporary authors, and I hope to create an artbook for my original worlds one day!
